Hi, I'm Jennie
I get it. Most people think that they aren't creative. I believe we were born creative, and just need some help to embrace that side of ourselves again. I will teach you how to free up your creative juices and let them flow! I’m a professional artist and teacher, and drawing and painting is my passion!
Since earning my art degree, I’ve taught hundreds of folks over the years to create paintings and other works of art that they can be proud of. I’ll be your guide down the light hearted, empowering path of creative discovery. Spend a couple of fun filled hours with me - and if you’ve ever thought, “I can’t”, I’ll show you how you can!

What to Expect
1. Public events~ I provide all the materials and set everything up. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
Private parties~ I provide all the materials and set everything up at your location of choice (home, office, event space, vacation rental, covered patio, etc.). You provide your favorite snacks and beverages and start enjoying!
2. I kick off our event with a welcome, a toast, and a brief explanation of how things work in our 2 hour painting party. Then I’ll give you a tour of the materials you have in front of you.
3. As you sip n’ snack, I'll lead you step-by-step through our painting, all you have to do is follow instructions!
4. When our paintings are done, we'll take some photos to celebrate and you’ll walk away with a finished 16x20 acrylic painting on canvas that you’ve done yourself. That's pretty empowering, and it's also a lot of fun!
What You'll Learn
Step 1
We start with the background or base layer. This is nice and loose, you can experiment with color and texture as I walk you
through this step.
Step 2
We create the middle ground. This will be the main image of our painting. We get to play with volume, form, composition, perspective, and more color. It starts to take shape.
Step 3
We add foreground and detail. Here we add things like shadows, line work, texture, and the details that make
our image look real, grounded,
and believable.
